W is for Wisdom
Wisdom sayings, wisdom verse
Aesop, the poetry of Donne
What Winnie the Pooh never
Learns from sticking his tummy
In a honey tree and, before that,
Rabbit’s house
What is wise to you, dear one?
Would you write it down? Or do
You believe in show more than
In tell?
Which means I’ll learn from
Watching you more than in
Pitiless, didactic discourse
I will look to you for wisdom
Other times in the book we know
We find out back—made of living
Page-leaves,
Bound in round tree bark, etched
By wind and ice, illumined by
Nature’s hand

A perfect choice of word for W, for the wisest man I know in WP! Loved to see Aesop and Winnie the Pooh in a poem! 😀 Only you can do that! 😀

Thanks deeply, Rosema. I’m delighted the eclectic references work for you. As for wisdom, I’ll take the compliments (’cause they make me feel good). But I’ll walk the path of gaining wisdom with you, such is the quality of insight in your work.

Wisdom is difficult. I’m sure you’ve acquired some 🙂 I think the best I know is the more I learn, the more I don’t know anything. Cheers

And you’re right, Mandi! Graduate school was good for showing me what little I know about so much. Oh, well. We keep learning, anyway. Salud.
