Favoring Neighborly Respect
(greetings with a sigh from USA)
We’re not all like Dwayne Wade
Canada is our neighbor, deserving
Of respect
And you are liked
There is enough to contend with
Fire, life of First Nations, economy,
And government—correlations in
USA
Antics courtesy of the NBA are
Neither needed nor liked nor
Incumbent here
We are friends—maybe we will
Match our amity in action, as
We do in many things
But, as with national songs, a
Kinship should be lifted,
Celebrated, and served, O
Canada:
The land of hope for all who toil,
The true North strong and free!
Thank you for forbearing,
From your friend

“Forbearing” is such a wonderful word denoting great inner strength–may we all forbear as neighbors and countrymen.

Thank you! It is a good word, sadly. A quality I hope our neighbors are okay having. Though you’re right–all nations and nations’ peoples should forbear each other. Not bad to have and share on the path toward peace. Again, Thank you!

Thank you for the compliment, Rosema. it means a great deal. Sometimes I feel like apologizing for my country. Then I realize I can’t.

Yeah… I feel the same way too..

Hello, fellow USA-dweller. Liked the wisdom in this piece. May we all remember to be kind and neighborly even to those who may not be our neighbors *bows head*

Hello, peer citizen! Thank you for liking this. Too often I think we forget that what we say and do, for good or ill, sends a message for our country. Though you’re right–we should (all) be “kind and neighborly” to all. (Returns bow.)
