Psalm 43
miracle-song
a miracle of unexpected grace
I paraphrase while reading a
line of text, which in fact ends
differently
but maybe that is what miracle
is, unexpected science and
grace, an unplanned gift from
divinity,
which we need so badly (or so
well)
no judgment in receiving, who
is worthy (who is not), no more
than in evaluating the giver
something is saved, and that’s
what matters:
material of miracles making up
the rest

Lovely, the fabric of unlooked-for miracles

Thanks! Thanks for using the word fabric. It evokes an interweaving sense of things.

Oh my, your words evoke awe…and I feel I must hush, whisper.

Your response reminds me of the still small voice in Scripture. And our listening for that. Not to mention reacting to the awe of God. We’re in good company, aren’t we?

We are indeed 🙂 PS–you’ve inspired some psalm-prayer-like poetry in me; I didn’t know what to call them, as I didn’t want to copy your psalm-numbered titles, series…but anyway, I’ve scheduled one for Sunday.

Well, heck, I’m simply copying David and the rest. I shall look forward to your psalm-poem appearing!

this is a blessing worth sharing. especially these lines:
“but maybe that is what miracle
is, unexpected science and
grace, an unplanned gift from
divinity,”

Thanks, Rose. I’m happy you find that passage meaningful.

Yes, it really is! 🙂

I think you say, judgement is held back, and that is the grace. Well done 🙂

Goodness, yes. No judgment required or desired. We cherish the gift of grace. Thanks!

Misreading something (I don’t remember what) led to a phrase defining miracles. Meeting my biases, I imagine. I’m glad they are complementary. I’ll let you know how the job hunt is going. Thanks for being thoughtful!
