Due to lack of sleep and stress, I’m having trouble using the computer, specifically watching the screen. I aim to post once a day, still, though reading others’ writing is taking longer. I’m about a day and a half behind, just now. I don’t know what will help the eye trouble beyond taking long breaks. It’s not a good time to consider eye exams and ordering glasses and such. Hopefully, things providing (more) relief will happen for all of us.
Sorry. Thanks. I hope each of you and each one close to you is safe and well. We’re saying “safe and well” a great deal these days, aren’t we? Well, we have to do this as one thing out of many things we do to care.

I use C L Couch when writing formally because it is a version of my name that's genderless. And, frankly, easier for handwriting--I have a severe writer's cramp. In conversation, I go by Christopher, having been named for the boy who had the poly bear and finally being (achieving) fine with that.
I use small Xes all the time because WordPress won't let me cut and paste the text from my program page to this one. (Grrrrrr.)
I am a career educator, semi-retired due to disability. I live in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (USA).
The main photographs at this site (of the road, of me) were crafted by photographer and my friend Debra Danielson. A variety of her work is available for appreciation at
Thank you, lookers, hearers.--Christopher

I’m sorry you’re having eye problems. Have you tried blue light blocking glasses? They cost about $15. I keep meaning to get a pair because I spend a lot of time on the computer.

I am having to take longer breaks and use eye drops (lubricant type). Am enlarging the pictures/text with my Firefox browser and turning down the brightness more. (My husband often, now, uses his magnifying glass to read smaller print on the monitors. I can’t find my magnifying glass, at the moment, and resort to squinting far too often. LOL! )

I remember that In college they said students should have a break from the pc screen I think after 6 hours. But what about bloggers, how long do bloggers spend a day on their pcs.

Good question and issue. There is some medical advice about deliberately looking away from time to time, but I haven’t found the balance yet of on-screen/off-screen.
