Wednesday Diagnosis
x
I’ll see the doctor today
At 2:20
A friend will drive me there
The pain is sharp
And then it’s dull
The dull kind, naturally enough,
Harder for persistence
Making
Night
Difficult and ongoing,
Rest made into
Dreamless chore
x
But one thing I have forgotten
In sharing what is going
On with me,
And that is to ask of you
How are you?
What’s happening with you?
I hope that you are well
And having a fine day
x
I had a student
Who entered buoyantly
Each Wednesday day,
It’s hump day! she would cry
Each time
And now I think of her
Each time

Thinking of you. Sending blessings. Although I don’t of course know you, you are clearly a man of courage and grace.

I hope you get a good report and wish they could do something for your pain. Sleep is so restorative and must be guarded carefully. Hot baths help or hot tubs, sauna, and the body’s invaders usually do not like heat. Drugs ok now and then but usually end up causing rebound pain and stop working over time. I wish you healing, Christopher.

Wishing you strength to tolerate the pain, Christopher. My mother’s favourite prayer “ God give me strength”. Still in Covid lockdown here in Ontario, Canada. Though outdoor seating in restaurants have opened up this week. Weather is finally beautiful after an onslaught of very hot and humid weather in early June. We have to enjoy those hazy, lazy, crazy days of Summer here, because there is just not enough of it. Nothing like reading a good book sitting idly in the sun. Wishing you improved health, Christopher, and may God Bless you in all you do. Trust you will continue writing your powerful words, I find them very inspiring.
