Who Slew 3G?

Phone’s dead
As in a horror movie
When the characters
Feel progressively
Closed in
And the killer starts
To take them,
One by one

It’s a sad day
It’s a widespread problem
For the company
And the old people’s plans
Like my plan
Time to pay one way
Or the other for
The lack of service
All the promises
Smiling gray faces
Provided

Bakelite phones
With wires
Newspapers
Made of paper
Talking with each other
On the street
Sending the urgent telegram
These might be making
Returns
Should we need to share
In an analog world
Again

Hey friend. Well stated. Those smiling gray faces. It’s been coming whether we want it or not. Whether we feel we need it or not. When technology becomes a meat grinder.

Yes, I’m afraid so. Well-said by you, my friend.

Technology is frequently like a horror movie! I know lots of people have gotten rid of their landlines, even my oldest brother. We still have ours. We are dinosaurs who still have telephone service when the power goes out. 🙂 I am happy to have a foot in both worlds. I like the technology but had a childhood that was filled with the outdoors.

I’m fortunate to have kept my landline as well, even though I’ve thought about canceling it. I agree, technology is likable. I continue to be with impressed with computers and all the possibilities. But I have to say I’m more thankful for the out of doors. I’m glad you knew that, growing up.
